Mozzarella Sticks - Running Is My Passport

Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces mozzarella string cheese cut in half
  • 1 large organic egg
  • ½ cup pork panko
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp rosemary
  • ½ tsp kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, add panko, parmesan cheese, seasonings and combine well.
  2. In another small bowl, beat egg.
  3. Dip each cheese stick in the egg wash and then in the dry mix. Then repeat one more time.
  4. Place cheese sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for one hour.
  5. Heat oven to 400°F and cook for 5 minutes turning them over halfway or until golden brown.
  6. Serve with low carb marinara and enjoy!
